Nicholas DeLaney, 38, of Shelbyville, was killed in a traffic crash on I-96 Tuesday, July 17.

Nick was an avid outdoorsman; fishing, hunting, boating, and gardening. He had a passion for music that he shared with his children. He had a master’s degree in psychology and was fully vested in challenging individuals to examine their own beliefs.

He is survived by his wife Jaclyn DeLaney; children, Alexis, Isabella, and Jack; mother, Nancy Munchbach; sister, Erica Munchbach; grandparents, Helen and Gordon Klotz; and his tribe of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Munchbach, and grandparents Charles and Patria Munchbach.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home at 312 N Main, Wayland. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, at CrossWind Community Church with Pastor Scott Otis officiating.
