John J. Dolegowski, age 58, of Watson Township, died Wednesday as a result of a traffic accident in Hopkins Township.
John graduated from Wayland High School in 1975. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Watson Township Board of Appeals and Farm Bureau.
He formerly worked at Marker Implement and was a truck driver for Contractor’s Trucking. John farmed for many years.
John is survived by his parents Chester and Marilyn Dolegowski; his brothers Larry, Joe, and Ron Dolegowski and his sisters Christine (Joe) Scott and Marlene Knox; his brother-in-law Kevin Vander Ploeg; nieces and nephews: Jessica, Travis, Trent, Julie, Heather, Amber, Krysten, Ashley (Andrew) and Jennifer; and great-niece and nephew Madison and Jaxen.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Vander Ploeg.
Friends may visit with John’s family from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, Dorr, with a rosary at 5 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 11 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with Father Harold Potter presiding. Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
