Gerald Groters, age 64, died of cancer Tuesday, July 29.
Jerry worked at Atlas Molded Products in Byron Center for 35 years as a supervisor. He also worked part-time at Meijer on Clyde Park in the receiving department for several years. He enjoyed working and considered everyone at work his second family.
Jerry enjoyed casino trips, family dinners and events, and his nieces, nephews, and great-nephews. He loved the Detroit Lions (he was a huge fan of Matthew Stafford) and MSU football.
He is survived by his siblings Donald (Sarah) Groters, Thomas (Marie) Groters, Maryann (Paul) Hamilton, Dorothy (David) Zandstra, Christine Groters (Albert Illingworth); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Gerald L. and Dorothy Groters.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at Cook Funeral Home – Byron Center Chapel, 2067 84th St. SW.
