Glenna June (Moored) Hennip, 92 of Hopkins, died Tuesday, June 16, at the Allegan County Medical Care Community.
Born Feb. 23, 1928, she was the daughter of Francis and Orah (Miller) Moored and the wife of the late Peter G. Hennip.

June enjoyed being a wife and mother and caring for her family as well as helping others around her. She was very active at her church and volunteered at Christian Neighbors of Wayland and Hopkins Elementary Schools. In her free time, June enjoyed reading, cooking and crocheting. She especially liked making baby blankets to give to family, friends and her community.

June is survived by her three children, Bob (Pam) Hennip, Bill (Annette) Hennip and Karen Hennip; seven grandchildren, Ben (Debra) Hennip, Kristin (Daniel) Russell, Susie (Eric) Porter, Jill (Rusty) Sietsema, Mandy (Travis) Balleine, Tracy Hennip and Tom (Lisa) Hennip; 13 great-grandchildren, Peter Hennip, Anika Hennip, Adrianna Russell, Kennedy Porter, Kelcey Porter, John Porter, Jenny Porter, Eleanor Sietsema, Rosalind Sietsema, Amelia Balleine, Evelyn Balleine, Jace Hennip and Cole Hennip; one great-great-granddaughter, Sophia Marie; and three sisters-in-law, Joyce Moored, Chris Behrens and Connie Hennip.

Besides her parents, Francis and Orah, and her husband of 49 years, Peter, June was preceded in death by her great-great-grandson, James Porter; her two brothers, Ken and Keith Moored; and her sister, Elma Hanlon.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, at the Wayland Christian Reformed Church (303 E. Elm St.,), Pastor Jerry Zandstra officiating. Memorial donations may be made in June’s name to Allegan County Medical Care Community, 3265 122nd Avenue, Allegan, MI 49010.

A private graveside service will take place in Maplewood Cemetery, Hopkins Township.
