Gerald T. Sevigny, age 81 of Wayland, died Sunday Aug. 18.

Gerald was a long time member of the Carpenter’s Union Local 100 and an avid NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Loretta Sevigny, his children Jeannette Sevigny, Dennis Sevigny, Ray (Joela) Sevigny, Chris (Holly) Sevigny, John Sevigny and Victoria (Edward) Jefferson; stepchildren Karreena Wooten, David (Samantha) Blue; 12 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; his siblings Dick (Orlys) Sevigny, Don Sevigny, Caroline Sevigny, Gene (Tammy) Sevigny, Rosie (Phil) Nickels, Ed Sevigny and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Phyllis, his parents Lionel and Jeanette Sevigny and brother Bill Sevigny.

His funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th St., Dorr.  The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday  at the Kubiak-Cook Chapel.
