Joyce A. (Jager) Dewey, age 89, of Wayland, died Wednesday, July 17.

Joyce and her husband, Jack, shared nearly 71 years of marriage and built a happy home together. She enjoyed butterscotch candies, traveling, and listening to Gaither Music.

Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jack A. Dewey; children, Cynthia (Dale) Siekman, Pamela (Ken) Gibson, Douglas (Valerie) Dewey; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; special niece, Valerie (Dale) Harrison; and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Brian; and three brothers, William, James, and David Jager.

The family will greet visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. in Cutlerville; and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, July 22, at the funeral home where the service will begin at 11 am. Pastor Mike Hasper will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
