Jeanette “Jan” D. Hopkins, age 79 of Wayland, died Monday, Jan. 4, at Byron Manor Assisted Living.

Jan is survived by her son Douglas and Nancy Hopkins; her grandchildren: Jeremiah (Cara) Hopkins, Joanna (Nate) Dear, Sarah (Adam) Lynema; Rachel (Steven) Geers, Charity (Dylan) Danz, Isaac Hopkins and Jonathan Hopkins; her nine great-grandchildren; her brother Jim and Rosemary Beldon and her sister Helen Esman; and several nieces and nephews.

Jan graduated from Vicksburg High School. She retired after 49 years at American National Bank which later became Fifth-Third Bank. Jan enjoyed knitting and sewing and loved her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her husband Russell and her infant daughter Joanne.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, Jan. 7,  at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Wayland, where a funeral service will follow noon. A private interment will be at Mountain Home Cemetery, Otsego.
