Sharon Ann Helmholdt of Dorr died Monday, Oct. 6. She was 85.
Sharon deeply loved her family and there was always a pot of coffee available for anyone who came to visit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Helmholdt, parents Carl and Lena Roosendaal; grandchildren Andy Rusticus, Katie Hibma, and Jeremy Hibma; brother, Douglas Jay Roosendaal.
She is survived by her children Carlene (Tom) Cooke, Doug (Barb) Helmholdt, Joan (Brian) Hibma, Denise (Mark) Scholten and David (Amanda) Helmholdt. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; siblings Jerry (Connie) Roosendaal, Darryl (Mona) Roosendaal, and Joyce Johnson.
Her funeral will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at Friendship Christian Reformed Church, 190 100th St. SE, Byron Center, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Sharon, contributions may be made to Moline Christian School.
