Funeral will be Saturday for 5-year-old son of WHS graduates

Services for the 5-year-old son photo_20150527_WM0039851_0_caleb_timothy_jack_duley_photo_-_beeler_gores_20150527of two Wayland High School graduates killed May 16 in a tragic traffic accident will be Saturday in Middleville.

Caleb Duley was born Feb. 18, 2010, in Grand Rapids, the son of Jack “Scott” and Amanda Lynn (Hall) Duley, both 1997 graduates of Wayland High School, now living in Middleville. Caleb was described as a fun, playful, caring little guy who loved the Detroit Tigers and the color blue and had just played his first tee-ball game. He loved nature, animals, playing outdoors, baseball, video games, traveling with his family, playing with his cousins and his baby brother, Gabriel.

Survivors besides his parents include a brother: Gabriel Duley, his grandparents: Tim and Angie Hall of Middleville and Marilyn Duley of Wayland, great grandparents: Lonnie and Pauline Drewyor of Shelbyville, and Phyllis Hartwell of Wayland, his godfather and uncle: Tim Hall of Wyoming, uncles: Curt (Brittany) Hall of Wayland, Chris Duley of Dorr, cousins: Riley and Presley Hall and Gwenyth Hall, his godmother: Wendy (Tim) Graves of Plainwell, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Caleb was preceded in death by his grandfather: Jack Duley and his great grandparents: Fred Hall. Jack and Emily Duley and Marvin and Rena VanDyke.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 29, at the Beeler Gores Funeral Home, Middleville. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30,  at the Beeler Gores Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Hess officiating. Burial will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery.
