Loy Lynn Dykst
ra, age 79, of Wayland, died Wednesday, Sept. 21.
Loy was a U.S. Navy veteran. His passion was farming and had been a lifelong farmer alongside his wife and children.
Loy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Darlene; his children: Laura and Rick Miller, Daniel and Ellen Dykstra, Loren and Julie Dykstra, Kevin and Ronda Dykstra, Todd and Missy Dykstra and his 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents Louis and Laura Dykstra.
Friends may visit with Loy’s family from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, Dorr Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Church of Wayland with Pastor Greg Carlson officiating, followed by military honors. Interment will be at Jones Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Loy may be made to Van Andel Research Institute for Parkinson’s Research or Calvary Church of Wayland.
