Roman Marklevitz, age 88, of Dorr, died Friday, Feb. 21.

Roman was an U.S. Army veteran. He worked at Spartan Stores for 35 years. Roman loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing., but most of all, Roman loved his family and friends.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Colleen; children Michael (Lois) Marklevitz, Randy ( Theresa) Marklevitz, Darlene (Victor) Lohroff, and Thomas (Dawn) Marklevitz; grandchildren Kristen (Chris) Nelson, Timothy (Erin) Marklevitz, Rick (Kelly) Vogt, Angela (Kevin) Ferguson, Alena (Thomas) Malkewitz, Jessy (Corbyn) Krzeminski, Jamie (James) Wright, Cody (Megan) Lohroff, Ashley (Joe) Gargagliano, and Brandon (Emily) Marklevitz; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Peter and Rose Marklevitz; siblings Irene Rewa, Eugene Andrysiak, Edward Marklevitz, Clara Snyder, Dorothy Krulac, Josephine Chrusciel, and Florence Marklevitz.

Visitation with the family will be  from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, at Kubiak Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th St, Dorr, with Rosary beginning at 3:30 Friday. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1871 136th Ave, Dorr. Father Christopher Derda will be officiating. Interment will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
