Bruce Irving Guppy of Wyoming, died Friday, Oct. 6, at the age of 68.

He was born on July 22, 1949, in Grand Rapids, to James and Virgil (Latimer) Guppy. Bruce grew up the youngest of four children and graduated from Godwin Heights High School. He married Christine Nickels on Aug. 1, 1980, and had two children. Bruce loved being behind the wheel and worked as a truck driver until his retirement in 2008.

Bruce is survived by his wife Christine Guppy; his children Matthew and Timothy Guppy; five grandchildren and his sister, Judy. He was also a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers James, Donald, and Richard Guppy.

Bruce’s family will meet with relatives and friends from 6 to 8p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home 312 N. Main St., Wayland,with funeral services being held at noon Thursday, Oct. 12, at the funeral home.
