Janet Lee Rosenberg, 82, of Middleville, died Thursday, Jan. 9.

Janet was born in Barry County to Ivan and Doris (Hupp) Thaler on Jan. 1, 1938. Janet worked for Lear Jet Corp in the shipping department for many years, as a secretary for 12 years at Leighton United Methodist Church, and most recently as a clerk at Family Dollar. Janet also owned and operator a general store and laundromat for more than eight years for WG Wade Shows.

She was a member of the Parmelee United Methodist Church and also attended the Golden Harvest Cowboy Church in Arizona City, Ariz.. She and her husband enjoyed 40 years of spending time in Eloy, Ariz., together. Janet was a longtime active member of the Ag Extension. She was kind-hearted and helpful, and spending time with her kids and grandkids was everything to her.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Rosenberg; children, Dawn (Jim) Losinger, Alan (Lydia Santiago) Brog, Jody (Sheryl) Brog; step-children, Tammy (Ed) Jackson, Tim Rosenberg, Tom (Dana Newsome) Rosenberg, Jim (Kelly Hull) Rosenberg; 31 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brothers, Wendell (Jeannie) Thaler, Warren (Linda) Thaler; many nieces and nephews.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Matthew Allen James; sister, Nancy Smith.

Relatives and friends may meet with Janet’s family from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at the Beeler-Gores Funeral Home, and again from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the funeral home, where her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mike McCrumb officiating.
