Arnold R. Adamczyk, age 95, of Hilliards died Friday, Dec. 25, at Metro Health Wyoming, MI.
He was born Jan. 31, 1920, to Joseph and Helen (Czachorski) Adamczyk in Hopkins. He was graduate of Wayland High School and served in World War II.
Arnold worked in quality control for American Seating. On July 13, 1940, he married Dorothy, recently celebrating their 75th anniversary. He was a prayer warrior having a prayer book that is worn and tattered from years of use.
Arnold was also an avid Cubs fan and baseball, football and card player. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church Men’s Society, Past Grand Knight of Hilliards Knights of Columbus and Wayland VFW.
Arnold is survived by his wife of 75 years Dorothy, two daughters, Arlene(Joe) Ann Jachim, Mary (David) Catherine Miller of Wayland, MI; three sons, Arnie (Margo) Adamczyk, Robert (Kim) Adamczyk, Tim (Debbie) Adamczyk; 21 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren; Brother, Richard Adamczyk; sisters, Dorothy Mull, Patricia Ackers.
He was preceded in death by father, Joseph Adamczyk, mother, Helen Adamczyk, son, Joseph Adamczyk, sisters Margie McBride, Justine Northrup.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, Dorr, with Rosary at 4pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Dorr, with family receiving friends and family from 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery immediately following Mass.
