Gwen Elizabeth Josey, who was born with Down syndrome in Lansing on April 14, 1958, died peacefully Sunday, Aug. 19.

She worked for many years as a server at McDonalds until she retired in 1994.

Gwen is survived by her parents, Kenneth and Barbara Josey; sisters, Pat Josey and Dotty (Jeff) Peare; brother, Chuck (Dawn) Josey as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Josey.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Wayland United Methodist Church, 200 Church St., with Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. Relatives and friends may meet Gwen’s family one hour prior to the service.
