Roger Lee Benit, age 79, of Dorr, died Wednesday, Feb. 3.
Roger served in the U.S. Navy and retired from General Motors.
Roger is survived by his son Scott Benit; his granddaughters Becca Benit and Mckaela Benit; great-granddog Charlee; his brother Hib Benit and his sister Betty Emelander; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Marie, his brothers: Brian, Don, Milo and Elmer, Sr., and his parents William and Gertrude Benit.
Friends may gather for a memorial graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at the chapel at Rosedale Memorial Park in Grand Rapids.
Donations in memory of Roger may be made to Faith Hospice of Trillium Woods. Roger and his family are being cared for by the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Dorr.
