Adam John Ballard, age 40 of Allegan, died Saturday, June 30.

Adam was born Nov. 1, 1977, in Grand Rapids, the son of Marvin and Janice (Zuidema) Ballard. He was a 1996 graduate of Hopkins High School.

He was known for his kind and giving heart. Adam enjoyed many things, such as sleeping in the blind during hunting season, fishing and spending time with friends and family. He worked every day of his life to provide and support his family.

Adam’s drum set could be heard for miles.

Adam was preceded in death by his loving partner and wife, Shellie Lynn Irish and his father, Marvin Jim Ballard. He is survived by his two sons, Shaneebree and his fiancé Taylor and Jamy, mother Janice and Bob Sims, older brother Dennis, his two sisters, Lisa Carnegie and Holly Gould, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 20, at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Township.
