Graveside service planned for WHS graduate

Rosalie “Rose” Postema, age 78, of Wyoming, died Tuesday, Sept. 9.

She was born in Grand Rapids to Tony and Phyllis TerBeek and graduated from Wayland High School. She worked as a secretary for several years, and provided child care in her home for 17 years.

In her free time, Rose enjoyed spending time outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mark VanderJagt; and her brother, Gary TerBeek.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Roger Postema; her children and grandchildren, Jim and Jolellen Postema (Josh, Jeff); Lauri and Ken DePas (Jacob, Ben, Joel), Janelle and Frank Sherrod (Kyra, Frank Jr., Mason, Zala); six great-grandchildren; sisters, Marcia and Earl Green, Vonda Trangmar; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 16, at Georgetown Township Cemetery.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association
