Daniel Gray Commons, 65, of Hopkins, died Thursday, Feb. 11, at his home.

Born Aug. 5, 1955, in Allegan, he was the son of Beverly J. (Smith) Commons and the late Max H. Commons.

Daniel was a longtime employee of Goodale Enterprises and had worked farming and roofing throughout his life. He was dedicated to making sure his family was taken care of and always worked hard to ensure they had what they needed.

Daniel enjoyed his simple life and took pleasure in spending time after work at Cocktailz Bar and Grill. In his younger years he liked to spend time outdoors hunting. Daniel will be remembered for his hard-working, giving nature.

Besides his moth, Beverly, Daniel is survived by his children, Josh (Ashley) Commons, Cody (Lauren) Commons, Dylan Commons, Jamie Brenner and Melodie Hall; siblings, Judy (Elton) Edwards, Cathy Bilek and Shawn (Holly) Commons; and his two granddaughters, Paige and Chloe Commons.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. A graveside service will follow in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Township.
