Sheryl Lee Baker of Aberdeen, S.D. (formerly of Otsego and Martin), died June 11 at her parents’ home in Aberdeen.

Sheryl Lee, daughter of Marty (Caley) Haveman was born March 1, 1978, in Kalamazoo. She attended school at East Martin Christian Elementary and Kalamazoo Christian High School. Sheryl lived in Otsego for several years working for PNC Bank. She then lived in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and in 2019 moved to Aberdeen.

Sheryl was a member of New Life Fellowship Church and part of Celebration of Recovery Group. She enjoyed being on the water and fishing. She also loved crafting and making personal ornaments for friends and family.

Surviving are her sons, Keanon Decker of Conway, S.C., and Hunter Decker of Galesburg; mother, Marty (Larry) Haveman of Aberdeen; and siblings, Carl (Jessica) Haveman of Dickson, TN, Michelle (Cody) Skipper of Elkhart, IN, Larry (Amanda) Haveman of Grand Rapids, and Leann Button of Aberdeen.

She was preceded in death by her brother, James Scott, maternal grandparents and brother-in-law, Kyle Button.

Cremation has taken place.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday June 19, at East Martin Cemetery with celebrant Mary Ann DeVries officiating.
