Graveside service will be Monday for Harris Button

Harris Ralph Button, age 83, died at home Thursday, Aug. 25.

Harris was a devoted family man with a heart of gold. He retired from Plainwell Paper after a 43-year career. Harris loved traveling, cars, all things John Deere, blueberries and chicken.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gloria; their blended family Steven (Tammy) Button, Daniel (Ada) Button, Brian (Jennifer) Button, Brent Genther, Brian (Tonda) Genther; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Keith Button; sisters Elaine (Tim) McBride, Dawn (Mike) Bos; siblings-in-law Barbara Henry, Roger and Sandy Tiller, Donald and Debra Clack; and 15 nieces and nephews.

Harris was preceded in death by his parents Arby and Beatrice Button; brother, Willard Button; granddaughter, Breanna Button; niece, Peggy Moore; and in-laws Robert and Doris Bell; brother-in-law, Ronald Henry.

A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, at Elmwood Cemetery in Wayland.

In memory of Harris and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wayland United Methodist Church.
