Jean Marie Haas, 89, of Holland, a native of North Dorr, died Sunday, Oct. 16, at Heartland of Holland Nursing Home.

Mrs. Haas was born Feb. 12, 1927, in North Dorr, Michigan, the daughter of Milo and Margaret (Bieber) Bartz. Jean graduated from Allegan High School, Class of 1945.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for many years until moving to Holland.

Surviving are her two daughters: Sue Haas, Katherine and Jim Blood; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Ann Bartz; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve; her sister, Pat Lane: brother, Bob Bartz; brother-in-law, Calvin; and niece, Karen Lane.

Friends may meet with the family from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Gorden Funeral, Allegan Chapel. Immediately following visitations, a graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Cemetery, Rev. Father Ben Huynh officiating.
