Word has been received of the death Thursday, May 11, of Leonard James Getty, a 1964 graduate of Wayland High School. He was 70 and his address was listed as 531 W. Cherry St. in Wayland.

Len enjoyed riding his motorcycles, bowling, but most of all he loved his dogs.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Carl and Mary Ann Getty, one niece, two nephews and many great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carl Sr. and Rose Getty.

A graveside committal service will be held 9:30 a.m. Monday May 15, at Elmwood Cemetery.
