Gun Lake Casino Resort and invited guests. are being beckoned to a grand opening and expansion Friday featuring a 16-story luxury hotel tower, the MnoYé Spa, the new Sandhill Café, and a lobby bar.
The ceremony will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, March 7, at the Gun Lake Casino Resort, 1123 129th Ave., Wayland Township.
The resort will welcome its first guests to the new hotel tower and unveil an array of premier amenities, including the indulgent MnoYé (Mm-NO-Yay) Spa, Sandhill Café, and the lobby bar. The Phase 5 expansion also brings an enlarged casino floor with new slot machines.
Coming in May, the Gun Lake Casino Resort will debut the Wawyé (WAH-Yay) Oasis – a 32,000-square-foot indoor atrium featuring a tropical 80-degree climate, multiple swimming pools, a swim-up bar, and year-round live entertainment.

• Spectacular Drone Show (7:15 p.m.): As evening falls, gaze upward as a fleet of illuminated drones paints the night sky with visuals synchronized to music.
• Interactive Entertainment (7:30 p.m.): The fun continues with an evening featuring magicians, stilt walkers, and speed caricature artiststhroughout the casino floor.
• Live Entertainment – Brena (10 p.m. at 131 Sportsbar & Lounge): A live performance by Brena,paying tribute to the women of rock history.
