Harding’s will be missing familiar face after Friday

Heidi Chappell-Davis is retiring Friday at the Wayland Harding’s Market after working at the grocery for 30 years.

She posted on Facebook today:

“I started the store when I was 18 years old. I have had many hats throughout my years. I ran the service counter, the video department. I trained the carry-out kids when they first joined the store. I took little school groups on tours of the store, produce department, scanning, receiving, price changes…

“Aisle 7 soups and crackers have been my baby for the last 7 years. Candy lanes, reclaim, Nabisco. Tagged in new items when I could, reset plannagram, decorated a couple cakes on a Sunday morning. GM spartan stores with Mary were so much fun.

“I had many years of doing the Wayland Expo for the store.

“I have met some amazing customers some I will miss seeing every day. I probably have worked with every single person who lives in Wayland throughout my years there. Thanks for all of the friendships and love .. you can still see me at McDuffs if you need a Heidi fix.”
