The Hopkins High School Band was awarded first division ratings from all three adjudicators at the State Band Festival April 23 in class C competition. This is the 14th year in a row that the band has qualified to perform at the state level. The band performed “Rippling Watercolors” and “Whale Warriors” by Brian Balmages. Of the last 14 years, the band has been awarded a first division rating at the state level 12 times.
