Four Hopkins FFA chapter members recently received recognition at the National FFA Convention by earning a silver medal and placing 27th in the National Farm and Agribusiness Management Contest. Emily Coffey, Kaden Petroshus, Colby Tucker and Logan Welch won the state contest, which qualified them to represent Michigan at the national level. The contest consisted of a three-hour written exam and a 90-minute team activity to demonstrate their skills. The Hopkins FFA Chapter also was recognized at the national convention for its outstanding program of activities as a part of the National Chapter Awards program. Hopkins was previously recognized as the state winner back in March at the MI State FFA Convention.
