The Hopkins Board of Education meeting planned for Monday, Oct. 19, is being postponed until Monday, Oct. 26,  due to a lack of clarity about whether public bodies continue to be allowed to hold virtual meetings.

Pending legislation (SB-1108) that will remedy this issue is expected to be signed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer early next week.

The Michigan Supreme Court twice earlier this month struck down the governor’s executive orders regarding the threat of the Covid-19 health threat.
