After a wave of winter storms hit northeast Allegan County in early December, residents, schools and businesses absorbed a second round early Friday morning. Shown above are U.S.-131 expressway conditions early Friday morning near the Martin exit. A number of schools north of Grand Rapids were closed Friday, but Wayland, Hopkins and Martin remained open.
