Jeff Parks has been chosen the new transportation supervisor for Wayland Union Schools.

He succeeds Tim Washburn, who is retiring Friday, May 6, after serving for four years.

Parks previously was a dispatcher and bus driver for the Allegan Area Educational Service Agency for three years.  His other experience includes a dealership service advisor for Harley-Davidson in Grand Rapids and a coordinator for the drivers’ group for Spectrum Health Hospitals.

Washburn was a transportation specialist at the Allegan Education Services Agency (AESA) for the past five years. Prior to this he owned a lawn care business in Dorr and worked as a manager at both Metropolitan Hospital Radiology and Genesys Regional Medical Center.
