The Hopkins volleyball team survived a knock down drag out battle Thursday night with O-K Silver Conference rival Belding.
The Lady Vikings hiked their league dual match record to 2-0 and overall record to 12-6-2.
The scores were 27-29, 25-20, 25-18, 19-25 and
16-14.
Kylee Sykes recorded six serving aces and 43 assists, Kelsey Burgess came up with 16 kills and Leah Williams added 14, Cora Hall had four blocks and Kavy Martinez chipped in 27 digs.
Hopkins will play in the West Ottawa tournament Saturday with Wayland and Grand Rapids Catholic Central in their pool. They’ll resume O-K Silver action Thursday, Sept. 18, against Fruitport.
