The Hopkins varsity volleyball team defeated Hastings in a non-league contest that was decided in straight sets 25-10, 25-16 and 25-21.
The Lady Vikings were led statistically by Kylee Sykes with four serving aces and 18 assists. Kelsey Burgess had nine kills and Cora Hall added seven kills and three blocks.
Kavy Martinez came up with 10 digs and Sykes had eight. Martinez also led in serve-receive with 11.
Hopkins, now with an overall record 11-6-2, will open O-K Silver Conference play Thursday evening against Beleding on its home court.
