The Wayland High School girls’ basketball squad had a particularly impressive debut Friday night by posting a 58-31 victory over Hamilton.
It was the same Hamilton group that defeated the Wildcats in the district tournament two years ago.
Senior inside player Addie Sikorski racked up 22 points to pace Wayland’s offensive attack.
Freshman Jordan Grevenstuk scored 15 points, including a three. Marissa Ainsworth, who finished with seven points, was the only other Wildcat to nail a three.
Lauren Bultsma, a 6-3 junior center, added eight points.
