Leighton Township firefighers gathered for their annual banquet last week. The 2025 Firefighter of the Year was April Rogers, for her dedication and pride in the community, fire department, and other firefighters. Rookie of the Year was Joey Mancuso, who accomplished the completion of his firefighter certifications, medical certification, and consistently responded to calls. Most Calls Run went to Mark Burkart, leaving his home and family more often than anyone else on the department. Chief Matt Weston (left) presented the awards.
