Word was received Tuesday morning of the death of Lenny Lenard, 54, of Dorr.

Lenard, an avid outdoorsman, was an employee at Dorr Industries and a 1981 graduate of Hopkins High School.

Lenny was born on Nov. 22, 1962, in Grand Rapids, the son of Leland and Mary Lou (Eager) Lenard.

Lenny will always be remembered by his mother Mary Lou Lenard; long-time girlfriend Tammy Maat; his children Lenny Joe (Heather) Lenard, Stephanie Lenard, and Benjamin (Emily Sexton) Lenard; grandchildren Madison, Layton, Shawn, Ellie, Bryce, Cameron and Mason; his siblings Renee (Larry) Wilson, Lorrie (Rick) Jones and Lisa (Wade) Weber; along with several nieces, nephews and extended relatives.

Lenny was preceded in death by his father, Leland, in 2016 and his brother Richard.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 27, at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church, 2459 – 146th Ave., Dorr. Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Visitation Cemetery.

Lenny’s family will meet with friends and relatives from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 26, with a rosary being held at 5:30 p.m. at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th St., Dorr, and one hour prior to services at the church Monday.
