Leyton Stephen Velicky, age 25, of Wayland, died Saturday, Sept. 30, as a result of a car-pedestrian accident.

Leyton, a 2010 graduate of Hopkins High School, will be remembered for his sense of humor, contagious laugh and smile, his quick wit, his generosity, and his willingness to help others. His loving spirit will live on in others thru his selfless donations to Gift of Life.

He is survived by his parents Stephen and Sandra Velicky and his sister Erin Velicky. Also surviving are his aunts and uncles William (Mary) Thall, David (Donna) Thall, Patricia (Robert) Micholowski, John (Shelia) Thall, Elizabeth (Scott) Lynema, Leslie (Paul) Lettinga; cousins Billy, Matthew, Ashley, Jake, David, Blaze, Jenna, Michaela, Mason, and Kinsee, and many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents William and Dolores Thall, and Steven and Marjorie Velicky.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1871 136th Ave, Dorr. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services-Wayland Chapel, 312 N. Main St., with rosary at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gift of Life.
