Local motorists also were advised to take extra care while traveling went on 135th Avenue leaving the city.

Wayland Chief Mark Garnsey said Gun Lake Tribal Police had pursued the suspect, with the chase ending at Windsor Woods mobile home park.

“Excellent teamwork and collaboration by all of our partners in law enforcement,” the chief added. “Another bad guy off the streets. Sounds like some great patrol and investigative work by Tribal officers to get on the trail of this guy.”
