A Wayland woman is asking for help in locating her car that was stolen Wednesday night from her driveway on Hickory Drive, not far from Steeby Elementary.

Jessica Lewis said local police have been notified, but she would like to add anyone who might have additional information about who perpetrated the theft. She said her car is 2017 black Lincoln MKZ with dark windows and black rims for the tires.

She acknowledged that she left her car unlocked in her driveway, explaining, “My mind has been foggy as I am grieving the loss of my mom and I left my key fob and purse inside the car when I got home last night. They (the perpetrators) attempted to use my corporate card and debit cards at Speedway around 4 a.m.”

Lewis also said inside her car were special personal items from the funeral.

Anyone who has any knowledge is urged to call Silent Observer or the Wayland Police Department at 792-9366.
