The monthly distributiFood truckon of free food for the needy will be conducted from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at the Wayland City Fire Station at the corner of Church and West Superior streets.

The location customarily is at the United Church of Wayland parking lot on East Superior, but it has been moved because of the recent extreme cold weather conditions.

The distribution, sponsored by Wayland Area Ministries, will include enough food to feed roughly 100 families for three to four days. The types of food available will be fresh fruits and vegetables, milk, yogurt and other dairy products, breads and other baked goods.

Wayland Area Ministries is a joint effort of four different organizations in the local community — St. Therese of Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, United Church of Wayland, Wayland Area Christian Neighbors Food Pantry, Inc., and the Wayland United Methodist Church.

The food is provided by Feeding America of West Michigan.

Anyone who has any questions or who would like to volunteer to help is asked to contact Rev. Dr. R.J. Hronek at (616) 240-2477 or at hronrj3@yahoo.com
