Cleon “Bud” Duryea died early Sunday morning, Aug. 5, at Ely Manor Nursing Home in Allegan. He was 92.

He was born on the family farm in Monterey Township on Dec. 2, 1925; the son of Charles and Vera (Ruehle) Duryea. He was married in 1949 to Marilyn (Rankins) Duryea. She who preceded him in death in 2015.

The couple had lived on the family centennial farm in Monterey Township all of their married life. He was a graduate of Hopkins High School and had been a member the board of AAESA for many years.

Mr. Duryea is survived by his children, Charlene Landrum, Dennis and Cindy Duryea and Jodi Morris; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Along with his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by eight siblings; and his sons-in-law, Richard Landrum and Dennis Morris.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, with the funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at the Gorden Funeral Chapel in Hopkins.
