Longtime Moline resident Ralph TerBeek passes at 94

photo_20161006_wm0078519_0_20161006Longtime Moline resident Ralph TerBeek, age 94, died Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Ralph served his country in the Army during World War II. He was a Leighton Township fireman and a Cadet Counselor at Providence Christian Reformed Church. He was a long time member of Sandy Pines.

He is survived by his children, Karen (Pete) Westers, Sharon Ter Beek, Bruce (Kathy) Ter Beek, Kathy (David) Johnson; grandchildren, Michelle (Scott) Millen, Sherri (Pete) Quakkelaar, Michael (Lisa) Ter Beek, Craig (Laurie) Ter Beek, Nathan (Anna) Ter Beek, Sara (Marty) Martinus, Amber Johnson and Ben; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Henrietta Bolhuis; sister-in-law, Joyce Lemmond.

His wife, Sarahellen, preceded him in death, along with a son, Barry; and his brothers, Tony and Ade Ter Beek.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at Providence Christian Reformed Church, 7730 Eastern Ave. SE, with Pastor Bob Boersma officiating. Interment in Rest Lawn Memorial Park.

Contributions in memory of Ralph may be made to the Providence Cadet Corp.

The family will greet visitors on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St., Cutlerville.
