Theodore “Terry” Pals, age 65, died Saturday, Jan. 3.
Terry worked at VanDellen Steel for 42 years, driving his passion for creating steel artwork/metal décor, which he has shared with many in the community. He served his community with volunteer hours at Project Hope Food Pantry in Dorr.
Terry was a simple man with a huge heart who loved his family and friends—whether he was sitting in the garage watching football, touring the neighborhood on his golf cart with Chloe by his side, playing in the annual friends’ poker game every December for more than 40 years, or sharing breakfast every Saturday morning with his family.
He is survived by his son, Paul Pals; mother, Jacoba “Cobie” Pals; siblings Sharie (Dean) Vander Mey, John (Jen) Pals, Scott Pals; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends, including his beloved dog, Chloe.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Paul Emery Pals.
A celebration of Terry’s life will commence at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, with visitation one hour prior to the service, at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St. SW, Byron Center.
In honor of Terry and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Project Hope (Dorr).
