James (Jim) Bush, age 58, died Thursday, May 21.

Jim was a member of the Saladin Shriners and the Wayland VFW Men’s Auxiliary. He worked at the Department of Public Works for the City of Wayland for more than 28 years, and at Weick Bros. Excavating.

Jim enjoyed hunting, boating, being a part of the community, and most importantly helping others.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Janis; daughters Tricia Ross, and Carrie and Ben Smith; son, Troy and Kristin Engel; sisters Linda Wolf, Deb and Bobby Harris, and Sheila Bush; his ten grandchildren; aunts and uncles; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Don and Barbara Bush and son, Jason Worfel.

A celebration of life for Jim will be at the Wayland VFW at a later date.
