Longtime Wayland Post Office mail carrier dies at 75

Longtime Wayland Post Office mail carrier Patricia Annette Wilson, age 75 of Middleville, died Friday, Nov. 30.

Pat was born, Oct. 27, 1943, in Detroit, the daughter of Robert and Georgianna (Schulek) Holland. She was a mail carrier for the Wayland Post Office for more than 25 years. She married Jack L. Wilson, who preceded her in death on March 13, 2012 in October 1964.

She enjoyed swimming with her pool buddies, traveling, shopping, and spending time with family.

Pat is survived by her children: Chuck (Joyce) Wilson, Rene (Jay) Robertson, Michele (Mark Engstrom) Wilson, Julie (Eric) Rader, and Steve Wilson, nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, three siblings, several nieces and nephews, and many loved extended family.

Pat was also preceded in death by her parents, Randy Wilson and Joseph Wilson.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7,  at the Beeler-Gores Funeral Home, Middleville Her celebration of life service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec.8. Pat will be laid to rest in Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Cemetery.
