The ‘Love For Lexi’ fund-raising event is scheduled to get under way at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at the Dorr Moose Lodge on 18th Street.
The event will feature performances from four local artists and raffles to help raise money for Lexi Adams Hinds as she battles cancer. Her husband, Calvin Hinds, is the son of former Wayland Union Schools Supt. Christina Hinds, now superintendent at Northview Schools.
The two have appeared at numerous venues performing music. Close friend Shawn Moulenbelt also plans to sit in on the music.
Coordinating the event is Amy Funk, former Hopkins softball coach and current volleyball coach.
