The lieutenant governor joins Martin Schools Supt. Brooke Ballee-Stone in the auditorium to speak to students and staff about solar energy.
Martin area officials welcomed Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist to Martin Public Schools Friday. Gilchrist visited classrooms as well as the auditorium and gymnasium, which were completed as solar project in 2018. He also took time to learn about the district’s journey with renewable energy. Gilchrist made a lunch stop at the Clippers Cafe earlier in the day marking the first official visit to Martin from a sitting lieutenant governor.
