The annual Wayland Area Emergency Medical Services (EMS) banquet was held Thursday night and Leighton Fire Department Lt. Scott Glupker was recognized as Medical First Responder of the year. “We could not be more proud and thankful for this man’s dedication to his community and our department,” Fire Chief Matt Weston said. “Every day he makes a difference in people’s lives, and we are truly blessed to know him.”
Pictured with Scott is his wife, Tammy, who also supports his efforts and helps out in many of her own ways giving back to community.
