A fall workshop geared to local smMain Street Logoall business owners is planned for 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the Vibrant Grains Bakery and Restaurant, 142 S. Main St. in Wayland.

The workshop, put together by the Main Street program’s Wayland Economic Restructuring Committee (WERC), is especially designed for small business owners needing low budget marketing ideas with big business impact. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with a family-style dinner beginning at 6:15 p.m., followed by the presentation, which will run until approximately 8:30 p.m.

“The workshop is open to the community and offers resources that will benefit anyone who needs help marketing their business or products,” said Main Street intern Julia Bouwkamp. “Learn how to transform content into a marketing plan, refresh your understanding of retail trends and find out how to implement marketing plans with little or no budget.

“WERC programs are chosen to meet the needs of our local business owners and community members in an effort to support, promote, and nurture their goals. This is really a great time to prepare a marketing agenda for the coming holidays or to organize a marketing campaign for 2017 with new ideas and tools. Entrepreneurs and business owners really can’t find a better deal than WERC’s $10 workshops; professional resources, available locally and served with genuine hospitality!”

Guest speaker for the workshop will be Austin Ashley, account executive at M3 Group, a full service branding agency and publisher of three niche publications in Lansing; The Greater Lansing Monthly, The Capital Area Women’s Lifestyle Magazine and ing Magazine a collaborative effort between M3 Group and journalism students from MSU.

Tickets for the workshop will cost $10 person and will include dinner, admission and workshop materials. Seating is limited.
