Martin’s girls’ basketball team came up with solid performance to start the post-holiday season Monday night with a 45-16 victory over Athens.
The Lady Clippers, with the victory, evened their overall season record at 2-2. Athens now is 1-4.
Martin will resume league play Friday night at Delton.
Zeeland West 62 Hopkins boys 46
The Hopkins boys’ basketball team lost 62-46 Saturday afternoon to Zeeland West in a rare matinee matchup. The loss dropped the Vikings’ overall season record to 1-6.
They will take on O-K Silver Conference rival Calvin Christian Tuesday evening on their home court.
