The Martin High School boys’ basketball team defeated Marcellus 42-37 in Round Two of the Mendon Holiday tournament Friday.
The Clippers lost in the first round Tuesday, 63-41 to Galesburg-Augusta, leaving the overall season record at 2-5.
Martin’s next game will be at home. Friday against Saranac.
Forest Hills Northern 56,
Wayland 50
The Wayland boys’ varsity basketball team lost 56-50 to Forest Hills Northern. The Wildcats now are 3-4 on the season overall.
Wayland will resume season play with an O-K Gold Conference matchup Friday at Wyoming.
Hopkins is playing this afternoon
The Hopkins High School basketball squad will resume its season with a 3 p.m. Saturday contest against Zeeland West. The Vikings own a 1-5 overall record.
